Seemingly, Communities in Imo are now bobbling with lots of activities put together by sundry groups even though year 2023 has just a day to be winded down.

Interestingly, strategic areas; as well as major streets in Owerri, the Imo State capital had earlier been decorated with twinkling Christmas lights -by the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma.

Also, The Imo State Government house environs, including buildings around the metropolis had also been ornamented with exotic deco and sparkling shinning Christmas colours.

This year’s Yuletide in the rural areas, across the State, witnessed workshops, cultural day celebrations, development meetings, Traditional coronations, churches centenary anniversaries, weddings, child dedications, Football tournaments, House opening, visitations and others.

Despite Naira scarcity and other challenges, residents were seen in their numbers traveling home with their families, while Commercial motorists increased fare on passengers even though there was no rise on the fuel pump price by the petroleum marketers.
