Imo Govt awards 35.1km Owerri- Elele rod – Ralph Nwosu

   The Imo State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Ralph Nwosu has announced the award of contract for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Owerri-Elele road.
Disclosing the latest development to newsmen on saturday, the Commissioner stated that this marks a significant milestone in the state’s infrastructure development agenda of His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration.
Speaking further, Ralph Nwosu disclosed that the contract was awarded to Craneburg Construction Company stressing that the  project award aims to improve the road’s condition, enhancing connectivity, facilitating economic growth and safety for motorists and pedestrians.
The Commissioner noted that the present state of the road will soon become a thing of the past adding that the contractor is already mobilising to site to swing into action. He assured that the project will be strictly monitored to ensure quality construction inline with the project specifications as contained in the Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME)
The Commissioner in his words, “Although the road is a Federal road but being undertaken by Imo state Government in MOU mode of execution and considering that the road has been in the the state of disrepair and near impassable condition hence His Excellency’s approval to award the road in other to abate the long suffering of our people and travellers,  He maintained that the award of the contract underscores Imo State Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens”.
