Reactions trail Igbokwe’s leadership as Rector

  The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Rector, Dr. Basilica Igbokwe’s leadership in the institution have been described by some persons in Owerri, who were interviewed by this reporter, during the weekend, as a true leader that has come to transform the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri.

  They also noted, that Dr. Igbokwe’s unwavering commitment towards fostering excellence, cultivating a peaceful environment, and building a  friendly academic community have marked her out as a quintessential woman.

  In an interaction with student of the Polytechnic, Emeka Anyanwu, he said, the Rector’s leadership is not only administrative; but a masterclass in visionary Polytechnic governance.

   “Our Rector is a woman who understands that excellence goes with dedication to duty, hard work, commitment and humility”, he said.

   Speaking, Miss Chioma Ugwu who said she graduated from the institution, last year, pointed out that under Dr. Basilia Igbokwe’s stewardship, the Fed. Poly, Nekede has witnessed a significant turnaround in its academic activities.

   “Her administration has brought good  programmes across faculties, removing the cloud of uncertainty that hung over students’ qualifications and the Polytechnic’s reputation. These were achieved through through investment in infrastructure,  such as staff seriousness in delivery and other areas she has performed greatly”.

   Miss Joy Ejiogu, Charles Ekeh, Miriam Iwuozo and Michael Iwuorisa, told Journalists, during this investigation,  that since inception of the Rector, Dr. Basilia Igbokwe, there has been a positive change in the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede community, and we are enjoying it.

   ” Federal Poly, Nekede now is increasingly being recognized as an institution that is serious about academic rigor and relevance’.
