UMUBOCHI COMMUNITY WARNS ENEMIES Of ONYEDEBELU, ADVOCATES FOR POLITICS WITHOUT BITTERNESS

The people of umubochi component unit of ofekatta lll Authonomous community, Awo-omamma in Oru-East Local Government Area of imo state have condemned the bad and unwarrented activities of Miscrants and enemies of progress in their community

Reacting to series of allegations levelled against one of their illustrous Sons chief Augustin Onyedebelu (Ezedigbomma that he (Onyedebelu) hijacked the location and site of a skill acquisition centre meant for the community to his factory structure as echoed by one Mr chinonso Uba(a.k.a Nonso Nkwa)

The community while briefing pressmen recently in owerri refuted all the allegations levelled against Chief Augustine Onyedebelu, the chairman of the community union Nze ukwu Chief Donatus Duru who presented the refutal statement point by point described the allegations as fabricated lies through with evil that came from evil minded people who do not want good things to come to Umubochi community.

The community in their briefing stated that the alleged money meant for the Petrolum Industrial Act (PIA) project by the oil company operating in their area was given to Chief Onyedebelu was FALSE allegation becase oil company does not give project money to individuals instead they pay into community account or to contractors dependingon level or stage of Milestone and the contractor must have used his own money to get to a resonable level of the contract

On the alleged contract for Umubochi skill Acquistition centre, the community disclosed that the contract was never awarded to Chief Onyedebelu because he NEVER indicated interest and never BIDED for the skill Acquisition Center contract

It was also gathererd that even when the community approched Chief Onyedebelu and requested Onyedebelu to let his factory building for the skill Acquisition Center to take off temporarily pending when the community gets a permanent location or site, Chief Onyedebelu turned down their request of which he replied them in writing

The community revealled that the idea or plan to approach chief Augustine Onyedebelu over the use of his factory building temporaily was discussed and agreed in a general meeting of Umubochi people some time last year (2025) and that Chief Onyedebelu was no at that meeting.

The people in their statement to the press, questioned” how can Hijacking allegation of the Skill Acquisition location be possible with all this explanations” and categorically declared Chief Augustine Onyedebelu innocent of all the allegations .

The leaders and stackholders of Umubochi used the press conference and warned all those that derive joy in tarnishing Chief Onyedebelu’s image in their local politics with bitterness to desist from such act before it will be too late for them to correct themselves or repent now.

The people of Umubochi community unianimously in their presentation to the pressmen called on the entire people of Umubochi to disregard and disassociate themselves from anything that is copable of causing confusion and trouble in the community and advised all Sons and daughters in Umubochi community both at home and in diospora to be progressively minded as well as embracing peace for the betterment for all.

The press conference which was in attendance by all the six villages/ kindreds chairmen, youths leader, women leader, secreataries and chairman of Umubochi Development union (U.D.U) Nzeukwu chief Donatus Duru all were in representative capacities as a delegation.

The people expressed their strong and consistentsupport to Chief Augustine Onyedebelu as they prayed God to give chief Onyedebelu long life and good health now and always.
