ENTRACO decries Street trading, lawlessness

The General Manager of Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO), Hon. Anthony Anyaehie has expressed dissatisfaction over high level of lawlessness among motorists and traders in Owerri.
Although, the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma had suspended the operation of commission following the incident that claimed lives of two persons, along Wethethral road, earlier this week.
Anyaehie, who stated this in office, while interacting some journalists who visited him on clarification, Thursday, also commiserated families with those that lost their lives on Monday.
“Are you people aware that one of the ENTRACO workers was beaten at Orlu road, and unfortunately he died two days after in the hospital”, he said.
He disclosed that the Commission is doing a holistic investigation into the killings that involved two persons, adding that those people that were bringing bad reputation to his office had been laid off.
According to the General Manager, Staff of the commission had been trained on Peace and Conflict Resolution Management and therefore warned the general public to desist from street trading which he described as illegal.
