Alleged cyberbullying against Anglican priest, Rev Nmezi, family: Court Adjourns sitting To Nov 18
By Sampson Uhuegbu
Federal High Court in Owerri has adjourned sitting on alleged Cyberbullying against an Anglican priest with the Diocese of Orlu, Reverend Chinedu Nmezi, and his wife, Evang. Vivian Nmezi to November 18th, 2026.
Nmezi, a Canada-based philanthropist had alleged that two individuals; Ajoku Chigozie and Nzube Collins  bullied him and his wife, Evangelist Vivian Nmezi, on separate Facebook accounts, calling them “unprintable names”.
“Before my family returned from Canada for Christmas celebration last year, that’s 2025 December, we were bullied by Mr. Ajoku Chigozie and Mr. Nzube Collins on their separate social media accounts,” Nmezi said.
The case, with charge number FHC/OW/19C/2026, was presided over by Justice Nicholas Oweibo after earlier hearing of submissions from both sides.
The Imo State Police Command’s prosecutor, Sam Obodo, had also told the Court that the defendants had been involved in several other offences related to the crime.
No plea was taken at the June 2,  even on July 16 sittings. Efforts to reach the defendants for comment were unsuccessful as of press time.
