FEXDORA Agro Devt Cooperative Union Inaugurates Ikeduru LG Chapter, Unveils Cassava Grinding Machine

The FEXDORA Agro Development Cooperative Union, yesterday, 30th July, 2026, inaugurated the Ikeduru Local Government Area Chapter of the union, and unveiled a Cassava processing machine.
In her address at the ceremony themed, “Strengthening Cooperatives, Empowering Farmers, Building Sustainable Communities”, the National Coordinator of FEXDORA Agro Development Cooperative Union, Mrs. Ngozi Nwadike, said that the cooperative is aimed at supporting those in the rural areas.
“We have chapters in the Imo State Local Government Areas, and other parts of the country at large”, Nwadike said.
According to her, FEXDORA started in the year 2028, pointing out that many people have so far gained from the Cooperative union.
Speaking, Chairman of the occasion, and Vice President, Agriculture and Environment, Hon. Kelvin Ugory who represented the President of Owerri Chamber of Commerce, commended the National Coordinator on her commitment , and dedication and therefore promised to support the union.
He congratulated the National Coordinator of the Cooperative for her ability to have piloted the activities of the Union and prayed God to continue to see her through in the worthy cause.
“Permit me to assure you that
the Owerri Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OCCIMA) remains a dependable partner in this journey. We shall continue to advocate policies that promote Agribusiness development, facilitate private sector investment, and strengthen led cooperative enterprises.”
He said, that Nwadike’s efforts demonstrate that when communities organize themselves, through strong cooperative structures , they become better positioned to attract investments, and government interventions.
Speaking, the Imo State Coordinator of National Productivity Centre, Mr. Martins Okonkwo urged FEXDORA national coordinator and members to work as a team, be committed, and together and remain united
In her speech, The Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Ifeoma Ibeka who represented the Commissioner, Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Said the Union has made them proud through their activities.
“This cooperative development union has really shown that they are delivering on the purpose for which it was formed in in 2008. I want to use this opportunity to commend the National Coordinator and urge him to remain steadfast.”, she said.
The Imo State General Manager of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Mrs Ifeoma Onyia and Patron of FEXDORA Agro Development Cooperative Union, Chief Nnamdi Obilam the Managing Director of Oil Resources and Allied Investment Ltd, said, it is a mother to all cooperative unions.
“Their status will not remain the same, I have made donations to them, both cash and connections”, he said.
The programme which held at the Mgbemere Compound, in Amanwozuzu, Iho, Ikeduru LGA, attracted dignitarie from Federal and State governments Ministries, Agencies and parastatals, while the ceremony featured cultural dancers
