Imo NANS Community Issues 7-day Ultimatum To Bayelsa govt, NYSC, Police to arrest killers of Stanley Okebaram

The Imo State National Association Nigerian Students (NANS), has issued a Seven (7) day ultimatum to the government of Bayelsa State, Nigerian  Police, and the National Youths Service Corps(NYSC) to fish out and arrest killers of the Corp Member, Mr. Stanley Okebaram in Bayelsa State.

    The deceased was the Students’ Union President of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri.

   Addressing the Press, in Owerri, on Monday, Comrade Samuel Emetuche, who spoke  on behalf of the group, noted, that on the 1st of August, 2026, they paid a condolence visit to the family of the late  Stanley who, according to them, was serving his fatherland.

   “He was serving in Bassambiri Local Government Area before he was brutally murdered and his body abandoned by a river at his host community”.

    The association also urged Imo State government, and the National Secretariat of NANS to ensure that those responsible for his death are arrested, and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

   ” Failure to make tangible progress within this seven- day period will compel the NANS to explore all legitimate means to demand for justice”.

   The group condemns what they said, appears to be a slow and inadequate response to the relevant authorities in addressing the tragic incident.

   ” We therefore call on corps members, residents of Nembe, and the public to cooperate with the appropriate authorities to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice “, the said
