TCN Compensates over 2,000 Imo residents

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that it has compensated over Two Thousand (2,000) people in Imo at the proposed reconstruction of 138km Alaoji (Abia State)- Onitsha (Anambra State) 330kv SC to 330kv DC Quad Core Transmission Line.
Speaking with journalists, in Owerri, on Wednesday, at the Rock view Hotel, the Project Manager of TCN, Engr. Omobola Sobo said the compensation exercise was part of ongoing efforts to clear the Right of Way (RoW) for the project.
Sobo explained that TCN prioritises full RoW clearance before construction to ensure protect infrastructure, and allow smooth project execution.
Speaking at the event, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs Chioma Ofurum, from Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, said, she happy by the action of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, and therefore prayed God to bless them.
